The past twelve months have undeniably seen a surge in the popularity of the liquid lipstick and to no surprise, they offer so much more than what they used too! With more durability and opacity than the traditional lipstick, it is definitely my favourite and go-to type of lipstick. A beautiful friend sent a set of Stila Cosmetic Naturally Nude Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick set for my birthday, and of course I had to tell you what I thought of them.

I have been following Stila Cosmetics and seen them launch all kinds of colours from a bright purple to the best nudes in the business –which I believe this set gives you three of them!

The trio is set in Stila’s iconic gold packaging, simple yet effective as the gold oozes expense despite being relatively well-priced at just £18 (available on Cult Beauty & Asos). Stila’s full-sized lipsticks are around £16, so getting three for just a few pounds more definitely ticks the box! Plus, three lipsticks is better than one right?!

The lipstick is described, by Stila, as weightless, full-coverage and creamy – I can honestly say that every word is true. The formula is fantastic; I mean with matte lipsticks there is an unavoidable drying aspect that you just have to deal with, but these ones aren’t overly drying at all. They have a creamy and soft feel to them when they are first applied meaning they don’t dry uncomfortably. Plus, these shades Patina (dusty rose),  Serenata (cognac rose) and Perla (pale dusty pink) are the most perfect nude colours I have in my make-up yet! They’re perfect for anyone with any kind of skin tone – whether it be a yellow undertone or a red undertone, there is definitely a shade for you.

If you’re a liquid lipstick lover and have yet to add Stila to your collection, I would definitely recommend this trio – which may I add has two limited edition shades (Perla & Serenata). Some makeup enthusiasts hate the thought of limited edition shades because they’re not here to stay, so fingers crossed Stila launches Perla and Serenta in regular size! But I will definitely be purchasing Patina in regular size when the mini one has run out!
